We are currently looking for BIA members who want to be active and make a difference in Malton. Whether you have a strong professional background or are simply enthusiastic about Malton, your time can make a difference.

Board of Directors

Positions on our Board of Directors are for 4 years. They come with prestige and ask for accountability and commitment.

The selection process for our Board of Directors includes a formal application to the Chairman of the Board and compliance/agreement with the following criteria:

• Responsible BIA Member in good standing over the age of 18.
• Declare any conflicts of interest.
• Have support of their employer to hold the Director position for a 4-year term.
• Attend 8 Board meetings per year. Minimum 6 meetings will to be held Tuesdays at Noon every other month beginning in January.
• Attend special events within the community where the BIA deems a presence is beneficial.
• Participate in or lead a special committee to help execute the BIA’s strategic plan.
• Assist with efforts to help the Malton BIA grow.

Committee Members

We are also looking for Members interested in helping out on Promotions and Beautification Committees. Committee positions are plentiful and we truly appreciate the contributions of our BIA community members.

There is no formal application process for these positions but we do ask that Members:

• Are responsible BIA Members in good standing over the age of 18.
• Declare any conflicts of interest.
• Attend special events within the community where the BIA deems a presence is beneficial.
